Relocation

Relocation is full of uncertainty. Of course the hope is that your business will be a better one after relocation, but how well founded is this hope?

What are my alternative locations? What new patients can I expect to capture in the new location? Which existing patients might I expect to lose? What are the capital costs of a move, refits, dilapidations, empty property costs, advertising? How do these costs compare with my expected gains and how can I model this financially? Is moving into a surgery a good move? How much rent should I offer to a GP surgery? What if I don't move and somebody else does?
